Originally located in Arcueil<\/strong>, near Paris, MONTELEM later became part of Le Cosinus<\/strong> in Ozoir-la-Ferri\u00e8re. \n\nThe company offered a wide range of electrical and electromechanical equipment, specialising in custom-designed solutions and technical support to help customers identify the most appropriate products for their applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Ignition Transformers Are Different <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An ignition transformer is not a conventional transformer. \n\nIts purpose is to generate a high voltage capable of producing an electrical arc while maintaining reliable operation despite repeated switching cycles and demanding operating conditions such as high temperatures, vibration, moisture, and proximity to metallic components. \n\nTo ensure long-term durability, ignition transformers typically incorporate robust design features, including: \n\nSteel housing and mounting plate \n\nImpregnated and encapsulated windings \n\nHigh-frequency (HF) filtering on the high-voltage outputs (depending on the model) \n\nAn electrostatic shield between the primary and secondary windings \n\nThese design choices contribute to improved reliability and longer service life in demanding applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
