ABE Transfo: winding expertise now integrated at Le Cosinus

Quality & Manufacturing

ABE (SIREN: 433 386 794) was a French company specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of electrical engineering equipment, particularly transformers, high-frequency transformers, and electrical regulators.

Founded in October 2000 in the Touraine region (Indre-et-Loire, France), ABE relocated to Seine-et-Marne in 2001, first moving to Montereau-Fault-Yonne and later to Ozoir-la-Ferrière.

A Progressive Integration Within Le Cosinus

From 2017, the company Constructions Électriques Le Cosinus became the managing entity of ABE, marking the beginning of a closer relationship between the two organisations. This integration was legally completed through a merger by absorption, resulting in the official removal of ABE from the company register on 18 March 2021.

ABE’s activities and expertise were fully integrated into Le Cosinus, strengthening the group’s technical and industrial capabilities.

The Transfer of Recognised Technical Expertise

The integration of ABE enabled Le Cosinus to further develop its expertise in specialised technical fields, particularly in winding technologies, customised transformers, and power electronics.

This transfer of knowledge is now reflected in several areas of expertise developed by Le Cosinus, including high-value-added products such as high-frequency ferrite-core transformers.

Unlike many market players, who are often specialised either in low-frequency or high-frequency applications, Le Cosinus now benefits from a combined skill set allowing it to address more complex technical requirements.

This expertise is based on:

  • A dedicated workshop for high-frequency and high-voltage winding;
  • Prototyping and small-series production capabilities;
  • The use of a wide range of materials (magnetic cores, ferrites, Litz wires, etc.);
  • Precise adaptation to customers’ technical requirements.

The solutions developed are intended for demanding industrial sectors such as:

  • Railway;
  • Aerospace;
  • Medical applications;
  • Laser systems and defence technologies.

Industrial Continuity Serving Our Customers

The legal disappearance of ABE does not represent the end of its expertise. On the contrary, it ensures the long-term preservation of its know-how within a broader and more comprehensive organisation.

Today, Le Cosinus builds on this heritage to offer:

  • An expanded range of transformers and electrical components;
  • Customised solutions adapted to complex industrial projects;
  • Enhanced innovation capabilities through the combination of complementary expertise.

Cette volonté de préserver les savoir-faire industriels se retrouve également dans l’héritage Montelem et son expertise en transformateurs d’allumage, repris par Le Cosinus.
